Sugar is obtained from sugar cane or sugar beet. It is a long process that begins when we obtain the cane seed and ends until it is sold.
Sugarcane Harvest and Yards :First the sugar cane seeds are sown. They mature between 12 and 14 months, when they can already be collected and taken to the cane yards, where they are stored and prepared to be sent to the grinder.
Sugarcane crushing and grinding: In the grinder with some turbines they crush the stems and give them the same size that makes it easier to extract the juice from the mills. Here the cane is put under pressure in order to extract the juice.
Choping the cane: the cain is chopped in specially machines designed to obtain small pieces.
Grind: through of pressure the juice of the cane is extracted. Hot water is added to extract the maximum sucrose contained in the fibrous material.
