The Spanish Maialen Chorraut, Olympic champion in Rio 2016 and bronze in London 2012, was fifth and stayed far from the podium in the K1 event of the Canoeing World Cup that is being played behind closed doors in the Pau channel (France).
Charrout qualified without problems in the semifinals.
The Spanish Olatz Arregui and the Brazilian Ana Satila also passed.
Already in the final, Chorraut could not shine and remained 13.73 seconds behind the winner of the event, the French Marie-Zelia Lafont, while Arregui was seventh and the Brazilian Satila, fourth.
