NASA and ESA sign a "historic agreement" to go to the Moon together.
They have signed a Memorandum of Understanding that reaffirms the commitment of the European space agency to contribute modules for the 'Orion' spacecraft and for the 'Gateway' space station. In exchange, European astronauts will travel to the satellite.

In a virtual meeting, the general director of the European Space Agency and the NASA administrator, they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding "to take Europe to the Moon".
They want to send astronauts to the Moon starting in 2024 and carry out sustainable and lasting exploration on the satellite, in cooperation with other nations and with private companies.
