EL CYBERBULLYING

Acoso en las redes.

El cyberbullying es el acoso o acciones molestas que se producen mediante internet hacia una o varias personas, haciéndoles la vida imposible a las víctimas. Este tipo de acoso consiste en ataques personales, insultos, divulgación de información falsa, etc. Lo cual puede generar problemas psicológicos muy graves.

Existen varios tipos: 

- Acoso psicológico. Es el tipo de acoso que consiste en el ataque contra la dignidad de la víctima, mediante insultos, amenazas...; lo que resulta humillante para la víctima haciendo que esta vaya perdiendo autoestima y seguridad en si misma. Puede llegar a ocasionar el suicidio en casos muy extremos. 

- Stalking. El stalking o acoso físico consiste en la persecución que realiza una persona hacia un sujeto con la intención de generar un vínculo personal o simplemente ganar o restablecer contacto personal en contra de la voluntad de la víctima.

- Grooming. Consiste en la amistad que intenta ganar un adulto por internet con un niño para acto seguido, abusar sexualmente de ellos obteniendo contenido explícito relacionado con fotos o videos de dichos niños desnudos o mostrando partes íntimas.

- Acoso laboral. Este tipo de acoso se refiere a la acción que realizan una persona o grupo de personas hacia otra con la intención de provocarle miedo, desánimo o desprecio hacia el trabajo de la víctima.

- Acoso sexual. El acoso sexual trata de la intimidación, abuso u obligación a hacer algo de carácter sexual. En internet este caso de acoso se suele dar mediante fotos o videos.

Ejemplos concretos.

 Una adolescente, llamada Amanda Todd, se suicidó tras haber sido acosada durante años debido a una foto comprometedora que se filtró después de que intentaran sextorsinarla (amenaza de revelar información íntima de la víctima). Este ejemplo corresponde a ciberacoso sexual, psicológico y grooming teniendo en cuenta de que la persona que filtro las fotos era mayor de edad.

Un grupo de adolescentes acosó física y psicológicamente a una chica de 15 años durante tres meses, hasta que se suicidó. Incluso tras su muerte, las burlas siguieron. 

Cyberbullying is the harassment or annoying actions that occur through the internet towards one or more people, making life impossible for the victims. This type of harassment consists of personal attacks, insults, spreading false information, etc. This can cause very serious psychological problems. There are several types: 

- Psychological harassment. It is the type of harassment that consists of an attack against the dignity of the victim, through insults, threats...; which is humiliating for the victim causing them to lose self-esteem and self-confidence. It can lead to suicide in very extreme cases.

- Stalking. Stalking or physical harassment consists of the persecution carried out by a person towards a subject with the intention of generating a personal bond or simply gaining or re-establishing personal contact against the will of the victim.

- Grooming. It consists of the friendship that an adult tries to win over the internet with a child to then sexually abuse them by obtaining explicit content related to photos or videos of said children naked or showing private parts.

- Workplace Harassment. This type of harassment refers to the action carried out by a person or group of people towards another with the intention of causing fear, discouragement or contempt for the victim's work.

- Sexual harassment. Sexual harassment is about being intimidated, abused or forced to do something of a sexual nature. On the internet, this case of harassment is usually given through photos or videos.

Concrete examples.

A teenage girl, named Amanda Todd, committed suicide after being harassed for years due to a compromising photo that was leaked after an attempt was made to sextorise her (threat to reveal intimate information about the victim). This example corresponds to sexual and psychological cyberbullying and grooming, taking into account that the person who filtered the photos was of legal age.

A group of teenagers physically and psychologically harassed a 15-year-old girl for three months, until she committed suicide. Even after his death, the teasing continued.
